Just upgraded our office PC's to the latest outlook connector. Today, we are seeing emails with PDF attachments showing as an attachment is there but not accessible in outlook... Attachment is fine as is accessible on Android device emails, as well as MDaemon Webmail... Seems to be a connector issue. Any suggestions? Brent Warkentin

I have done more testing and it seems that only messages that are l forwarded from Outlook running connector 6.5.2 to another user running Outlook and connector 6.5.2 won't show the PDF. The same email forwarded to an Android or read via MDaemon Webmail shows the PDF attachment...

I have seen similar issues for years, although it's rare enough that I dont have to worry much about it (couple times per year?). I've never really isolated how to reproduce it as you have... I always just told my users - "Check it in Webmail, if it's ok there, then its just Outlook being Outlook".
Typically, when I see this occur, the attachment is "0 bytes". Drag it out to the desktop and rightclick-) PROPERTIES. If it's "0 bytes" then yes, obviously somewhere between mailserver and Outlook the attachment got stripped down to "0 bytes" and is now just an empty file, masquerading as a valid attachment.... living forever in the OC attachments cache folder in %APPDATA% (perhaps until you delete that, rebuild your profile and re-sync everything?).
I've never been able to reproduce the anomaly, it just happens randomly - but from your last message, perhaps we can look into that as well.

This has been done this morning... note I believe the issue is linked to messages that are replies or forwarded messages...

Note: If/when this occurs, attachment will be "0 bytes" in size. Super fast fix is to just delete the corresponding 0-byte file in the "Attachments" folder, then re-open the message in Outlook - which should re-retrieve the attachment from the server.
I just go into "%APPDATA%/Alt-N/Outlook Connector........../Attachments", then (in Detail-view) re-sort ascending by file-size. This places all "0-byte" length files at the top. Delete those, then next time you open the corresponding Outlook message, it will re-retrieve the attachment from the server. No need to rebuild profiles or anything.
