MDaemon Connector - Outlook inbox not automatically refreshing

Hi,

we’ve recently migrated from Exchange to MDaemon because its a cheaper option for only 10 clients. Since then we ran into quite a few problems.

Versions:
MDaemon Version 19.0.2
Clients:
mostly Windows 7, some Windows 10.
Outlook 2013
MDaemon Connector 6.0.0

The problem:
When opening Outlook for the first time after booting the PC, it takes around 10 minutes for new mails to be synchronized/show up in the inbox. After that the inbox does not show any new mails until another mail folder was selected and then switched back to the inbox.
We manage the Connector settings locally for each client since when we tried managing it globally on the server, nothing was really working.
MDaemon Connector settings are the following:
Folders - "Load PIM Folders Synchronously" disabled, "Load IMAP Folders Synchronously“ enabled
Send/Receive – only inbox checked for the checked folders after Send/Receive

Also probably relevant: the inboxes are rather huge (some are more than 10.000 mails big).
Any idea or tips what could cause this?

Also there is a newer version of the MDaemon Connector client (6.0.2) avaialable for download in the "Client Installers - MDaemon Connector for Outlook" section in this link:
https://www.altn.com/Downloads/MDaemon-Mail-Server-Free-Trial/

Please make sure that your MDaemon Connector client is the same bit size as Outlook on that machine.

The number and size of the messages in the inbox can definitely decrease performance so if you are able to reduce the size of the inbox that should help.
