Hi

I have 2 accounts (A and , i manually copied a bunch of email folders from account A to account B on the MDaemon server through Windows file structure. This worked in the web client of account B, however every folder i copied cant be deleted in the web client, the only options i have are

- Add to favorites
- Open
- Folder
- Share folder

The extended menu isnt there, so how do i move complete folder and email structures between accounts?

We tried to share the folders, but i cant copy the data from the shared folder to the email account.

Please advise.

Did you copy the Hiwater.mrk files in the folders as well or just the MSG files? The hiwater.mrk contains the folder configurations, including the folder permission settings.

You can open the hiwater.mrk files in a text editor, search for the [Access Control] section, if these are personal mail folders, remove the [Access Control] section or remove the entry with the account listed here. By default folder owners have full access to their folders.

Hi

We deleted the hiwater.mrk files and that fixed the issue, it appears MDaemon recreated the files with the correct permissions, so it was the hiwater.mrk file creating the problem.

This has been resolved, thanks
