Help! Several MDaemon installations crash simultaneously since 13.30 UTC

Hello All,

Since about one hour and a half, several MDaemon 18.x and 19.x are crashing every few minutes with the following error:

Faulting application name: MDaemon.exe, version: 18.5.4.0, time stamp: 0x5e76b232
Faulting module name: asapsdk64.dll, version: 8.0.122.0, time stamp: 0x56895605
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00000000001f0927
Faulting process id: 0x15e4
Faulting application start time: 0x01d605da7bd5c61d
Faulting application path: C:\MDaemon\App\MDaemon.exe
Faulting module path: C:\MDaemon\SecurityPlus\asapsdk64.dll

Upgrading to latest version of MDaemon and Antivir Signatures did not help. The only thing that works sio far is renaming C:\MDaemon\SecurityPlus\asapsdk64.dll which I suspects disables the antivirus.

Any idea?

We are aware of the issue and are working to fix it.  Currently the best solution we have is to disable the Outbreak Protection component.  To do that open the MDaemon UI and go to Security / Outbreak Protection, uncheck the box for Enable Outbreak Protection and then click OK.

Arron, subscribe to this one.

At least 4 different installs crashing every 1-5 minutes, with the same error as above.

MDaemon 18.5.2 and above, Windows 2008 Server and above (2016, 2019). All Standard server.

Disabling AV / ClamAV not helping.

Updating MDaemon / AV not helping.

One old testing with 12.x NOT crashing (not yet, at least).

Same problem here, disabling outbreak protection seems to be a workaround for now.

In addition to re-enabling Outbreak Protection, you may need to restart MDaemon to correct the issue.
