Hello,

Have come across a problem which has cropped up before in an earlier version v17 that I was reading about. However the fix was to update to newer version(17.03).

My server is 2012R2, 32GB, i7 multiple SSD. I utilise IIS as a front end provider. I also use CertifyTheWeb to provide LetsEncrypt SSL. MD is installed to C under default conditions.

I have just started getting a client who is logging the following in AirSync log:

19/08/05 22:53:06.725 Warning 447684A9 0x81311728 Client sent expired Sync Key: Rolling back last transaction: CI-00000000000000000000000000002/0000-00-00T12:52:09.959Z/0000-00-00T11:21:43.428Z

The user informs me that their phone is constantly reloading emails from earlier this year then crashing out. Is this something that sticks out in someones mind with a fix?

The logs show the device continually try to load and rollback the same emails.

Regards

Chris

To verify, you're using IIS for MDaemon's webserver and activesync services or are you using MDaemon's built-in webserver?

Our support team doesn't support IIS issues, however, if this is the only account having the problem, I'd begin my investigation with the user account. CI-00000000000000000000000000002 is the default sync path for the inbox. How large is the user's inbox? Are there any large messages in this folder? If so, try shrinking the message count or removing very large items, removing the profile from MDaemon, removing the device in MDaemon's mobile device manager, and re-adding.

Thanks Tyler.

I started looking at the large emails and also the fact that the system was crashing the phone when it tried to sync.

I have found the problem and am just adding this information in case it helps someone in the future. My logs had this information:

19/08/05 22:53:08.560 Info 447684A9 0x4131183C Sync session terminating

So I found that the email that was at the top of the list “md5000042380.msg” was causing the phone client to crash and to terminate and rollback the sync.

The email is only a few hundred kb so the corruption must be from something in the body.

Chris

Glad you were able to find the issue. If you're still running an older version of MDaemon, you may want to upgrade to verify if the updated server can sync your message or if you'd like to submit a support ticket and send in the MSG file, we can review it.
