Hello,

Got a client who was running MDaemon 15 (Old post here Ryan Bregler, "MDaemon 15 IMAP issues" #, 3 Feb 2021 2:06 pm ) and we upgraded to V20 shortly after and just upgraded to V21. The one client who uses the ActiveSync it causes Outlook to Freeze multiple times a day. Totally Random. Replying, opening an attachement, double click and email to pop it out. Outlook never unfreezes and force quitting it is only way to close it.

Things I have done:

Windows 10 fully updated to 21H1. Outlook was upgraded from 2013 to 2019. Made sure MDaemon was fully updated. Physical Server, PC, MDaemon Server reboots doesn't seem to fix any of the issues.

When outlook freezes we get a black bar (See attached). This OST file is just over 22 Gigs. He does have an Archive file that is almost 83 Gigs but I have also removed that and same thing.

Tried to activate the MDaemon Connector Trial and try that but it says that OC 7 no longer does trials?

Just using Windows Defender for Antivirus. Also attached is the All log from past two hours. Use is keith that locks up.

What does the AirSync log show is occurring?  The AirSync log can be found in the MDaemon\Logs directory.  Please make sure you have debug logging enabled and then reproduce the issue and send us the AirSync log.  To enable debug logging go to Setup / ActiveSync / Diagnostics, set the log level to debug.

Are there any updates available for Outlook?

In MDaemon, under Setup / ActiveSync / Tuning,

What is the maximum items per sync?
What is the Maximum response size?

Is Outlook configured to sync the entire mailbox or only is it limited to the last 30 days?

If its configured to sync the entire mailbox, does limiting it to the last 30 days help?

Has Outlook completed the initial sync of the mailbox?

If Outlook has not completed its initial sync, does reducing the maximum response size help?

How much memory and processor is Outlook using?

Hi Arron.

I will check on all of these. To answer a few

1) yes it is fully synced (been setup for 4 months now)

2) when it freezes its not using a lot of memory or cpu usage that much I know.

3) outlook fully updated. Happened on 2016 and also 2019

I did attach part of the airsync log but not all. Ill enable debug today and post back.
