Mdaemon started crashing overnight and will not run

Windows 10, Mdaemon 19.5.3

I went to bed last night with a functioning mdaemon installation, it has been running for months. I do not update the server its on, and have made no changes.

I woke up to an error message that the system service is not running and to restart it. When I do that within seconds the services stops running.

I was able to disable the service and start mdaemon as an applicaiton, and within seconds it crashes. I have two other machines on which I have been mirrroring the user e-mail folders (via robocopy) .. I followed the procedure to start mdaemon on one of those machines by copying the relevant program folders and then installing the same version over it.

Again mdaemon crashes within seconds. I tried the same thing on a 3d server on which I had copied the program files several months ago.. this machine too has the users mailboxes mirrored from the main server (via robocopy).. I was thinking maybe I was copying a corrupted file..so this time I did not copy from the main server, instead relying on the copy I had made some time ago when things were running fine. This machine too crashes within seconds once the install over the existing folders is completed.

The mdaemon system log is attached. I dont understand it well enough to know where to look. Also attached is a windows crash report.

At this point I cant even request support as I dont know my product key and mdaemon doesnt stay up long enough to find it. I cant get emails at the email registered with mdaemon since mdaemon is not running.. and my company email is down, obviously, and so I cannot do any business.

Im sure everyone thinks their issues is critical, I do too... My company cannot send or receive emails right now and I have no clue how to get mdaemon running again.

Arron, thank you SO much for responding to my message.

I actually came to the same conclusion as you after taking a nap and having a bloody mary and thinking about it.

Lo and behold, in the LOCAL queue folder were two messages. I removed them and verified that there were no other messages in any other queues, and then I restarted and damned if it didnt work.

I came back here to post my solution for others to see and see you had the same thoughts.

I will upgrade to 19.5.8 as per your suggestion and in the very near future will restart my support agreement. I had let it lapse since Covid did a real number on my business, my company went from something north of $2M in sales to $0 starting mid March 2020 and just now I am finally seeing a small uptick in demand, so I had to economise everywhere and my support agreement was one of those places.
