So this started pretty much since we install activesync a few months ago. They were just using IMAP before but it wasn't always listing all the emails in the folder.

I cleaned that stuck email...

Authentication with smart host - 12:32pm Dec 14, 2020 CDT -

Hello Claudio,

I see that you are currently running MDaemon 20.0.2.  In that version, there was an issue with MDaemon authenticating to a smart host in certain circumstances.  That problem was addressed in MDaemon 20.0.3.  Please let me know if upgrading to MDaemon 20.0.3 does not resolve the problem.

Here is the release note:
[23867] fix to MDaemon may not authenticate to a smart host when sending a message with a route slip

Mesage Priority - 12:59pm Dec 28, 2020 CDT -

Hello Voinea,

In the “Routing” settings of that mailing list, is the “Deliver list mail using individual RCPT commands for each member” option enabled?  If so, then that would set the message priority to “50” for those mailing list messages.

I tested that Content Filter rule again and I can confirm that it changes the message priority of a local recipient’s message whenever I send a message to a mailing list.  As a test, I set the rule to make the mailing list message priority “15”, and the MSG file was named “pd1501000000200.msg”.

NOTE: After you have added that rule to the “CFRules.dat” file, be sure to click Security | Content Filter in the MDaemon interface and then open that rule.  After confirming the rule is correct, click  “Ok” until the Content Filter windows are closed. That should trigger the Content Filter to be reloaded with the new rule that was added.

Also, make sure that the “Apply content & spam filters to list mail before cracking individual copies" option is still disabled.  Otherwise, that rule will not be applied.

Regards,

Mesage Priority - 12:36pm Nov 25, 2020 CDT -

Hello Voinea,

By the way, the default precedence value set by MDaemon for a mailing list message is “80”.  So, if you are wanting to have local-to-local messages take priority over mailing list messages, then they already have priority over mailing list messages since their precedence level is set to “50” by default.

You can determine the precedence level for a message by reviewing the name of the MSG file found in the recipient’s mailbox folder on the server.  For example, if the precedence level is “50”, the filename of the MSG file would start with “md50”, and the file names of any mailing list messages sent to local accounts should start with “md80”, by default.

Mesage Priority - 01:02pm Dec 28, 2020 CDT -

Hello Voinea,

You could create a Content Filter rule that looks for a “X-MDMailing-List” header in each message routed to the Local queue, and if it exists, have the “Change message processing priority” action change the priority level of the message.

Here is an example I created which can be added to the \MDaemon\App\CFRules.dat file:
[Rule050]

RuleName=Change Mailing Lists Priority

Enable=Yes

ThisRuleCondition=Any

ProcessQueue=LOCAL

Condition01=X-MDMailing-List|exists|AND|

Action01=message priority|"80"

NOTE: If using that rule, you would need to disable the “Apply content & spam filters to list mail before cracking individual copies" option found under Setup | Mailing List Manager | Mailing List Settings in order for the rule to detect the “X-MDMailing-List” header that is added to each mailing list message before they are routed to the Local queue.

Hello,
Can I set a priority in delivering messages to local users?
For example, messages sent to Mailing Lists have a lower priority than a normal message sent from one user to another?

I found something related to this configurations, but in older version:

Thank you!..
