Hello!

When I try to perform the GetUserInfo operation for some accounts the FullName attribute has a broken encoding. This can be seen in the screenshot.

When I edit a user’s First and Last Name in the MDaemon UI to include accented characters, such as …

Mr. Fãñtåstïć

It renders correctly when I make a call to GetUserInfo…

Plain Text of xml

<FullName>Mr. Fãñtåstïc</FullName>

As UTF-8

<FullName>Mr. Fãñtåstïc</FullName>

Can you provide a FullName string from the MDaemon UI that I can test with?

This problem is observed only with 17 accounts out of 590. For example, here is another problematic account

Pavel,

Is that copied from the MDaemon UI’s account editor?

If so, then there is likely a problem with the data itself.

What you sent appears to be munged already.

I need it as it appears in the MDaemon UI so that I can figure out what is causing it.

Thinking that perhaps the data is not ANSI in the Userlist.dat, perhaps In the userlist.dat file it is already encoded (it shouldn’t be).

What language is the MDaemon Installation?

How do these names render within Remote Administration?
