We have not completed our testing of Server 2022 yet.

MDaemon supports the sharing of email folders when using webmail, IMAP, MDaemon Connector, and ActiveSync. If you want to share PIM folders (Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, Notes) you need to use webmail, MDaemon Connector or ActiveSync. You cannot see PIM items via IMAP.  I'd recommend testing all the options before purchasing to see which one works best for you.  Don't forget to enable the synching of shared mailboxes in ActiveSync by going to Setup / ActiveSync / Tuning / Global Client Settings Defaults.  Check the box for Shared folders near the bottom of the dialog.  This will enable the synching of shared folders by default for all users/domains.  You can also configure it per domain, per user, and per device.

Since you want to sync phones too, you may want to consider using ActiveSync to sync data to Outlook and to user's phones.

>But they also want to use the mail on their phones. However, if the connect via imap, they should also be able to sync mail? Or is that only done via activesync ?

Email can be synched to a phone using IMAP or ActiveSync.  If you using IMAP for synching email and want to sync calendar and contact data you can set up additional accounts in your phone to sync from CalDAV and CardDAV servers.  If you use ActiveSync, you only have to set up a single account on your phone and can sync email, calendar, contacts, tasks and notes.  Assuming the device being used supports synching all of the data.

Hi Mdaemon

Is windows Server 2022 supported ? Don`t yet see this in the requirements ?
2nd question.
I would like to buy for a customer of mine mdaemon with outlook connectors. They want to use it for 2 domains. They want to see each others mail when someone sents something to a customer. ( think that thats the use of the outlook connector?) .

But they also want to use the mail on their phones. However, if the connect via imap, they should also be able to sync mail? Or is that only done via activesync ?

Greetings

Hi Arron,

Thanks for the answer. Is there some time estimate when Server 2022 is finished testing ? I would like to use a server version of which TLS 1.3 is fully functional for web services as for mail. Since 2022 is the only version of windows which currnetly fully supports this, this is a key item.

MDaemon has not been updated to support tls 1.3 yet, so even if you install it on Server 2022, TLS 1.3 will not work.

I don't anticipate there being any issues with running MDaemon on Windows Server 2022, but we have to be thorough.  If you'd like to try it now and provide your feedback you are welcome to.
